ABOUT THE ROLE:
Responsibilities:
Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements
Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
Prepare documentation and specifications
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Create complex scripts, and stored procedures to support application development.
Fix any issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures.
Skills and Qualifications:
Good Knowledge of GLOSS and understanding of the flow of how the product works.
Strong proficiency with SQL.
Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements
Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
Capable of troubleshooting common database issues
Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT
Hands-on Knowledge of Shell Scripting, C, and UNIX is a Plus
